Communal Bin Relief as Council Finally Listens

Following the withdrawal or postponement of the communal bin trial in certain roads in city, Lib Dem Councillor Paul Elgood expressed relief that the council has at last listened to residents.

Councillor Elgood said:

"This is a significant and welcome step forward. The council has at last listened to the views of residents and taken out roads with the most objections. If residents don't want this pilot, it shouldn't be forced upon them. The question is whether this will be enough for residents in what has become a very heated debate."
